Children and Adults at Risk
Naturism is a family friendly lifestyle that has been shown by countless studies to be of great benefit to children in building confidence and a realistic view of what people look like without clothes.
Many adults gain from Naturism for similar reasons.
For this to work everyone must feel safe and whilst families often report that they feel safer in a Naturist environment, we like to make sure this is the case.
Spectrum has long had a child protection policy and child protection officers. We are currently in the process of updating this to match the latest policy for Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults published by British Naturism. This is a policy approved by the NSPCC. We have five volunteer Club Safeguarding Officers (CSOs) all of whom have received safeguarding training and continue to update their training. Further information about Spectrum’s Safeguarding Team and policy is available at the swim.
